Heather Marshall
Artistic Director/Drama Worker/Event Manager/Admin/Youth Worker... Heather has many different hats and she loves wearing all of them!
Heather trained at Queen Margaret University in Drama and Theatre Arts specialising in Community Theatre. After graduation she worked as a freelance drama worker on a diverse range of projects including whale, Bingham Boys Group, Don't Let Me Get Me at the Royal Edinburgh's Young Peoples Unit, Prospect Bank, Edinburgh Academy, Victoria Primary and Class Act for the Traverse Theatre.
She then took up the post of Community Arts Officer and resident director of the youth theatre at the Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh where she spent 4 1/2 years devising and facilitating projects including Active Arts for age 50+, Y Bands music project, take pART and the summer arts programme. Heather directed 12 productions with the Brunton Youth Theatre including a hip hop interpretation of Romeo & Juliet with a group of Austrain teenagers and Discontented Winter: House Remix which toured to the National Festival of Youth Theatre.
In January 2009 Heather decided to chase her dreams and form Creative Electric and so far its been the best decision she's ever made. Creative Electric has allowed Heather to rediscover herself as an artist, creating exciting and challenging pieces of theatre, installations and even performing for the first time in 8 years!
Mags Livingstone
Mags is the adult representative on the Electric Youth Board and also the treasurer for the company.
Mags works as a Youth Worker and Event Manager for Creative Electric and has assisted on the Electric Battle, Electric Burlesque and Here Come the Girls.
The Youth Board
Electric Youth Theatre is overseen by a board of young people. They make all the important decisions from fundraising to specialist tutors.
